How to get here
The museum is placed in Helsingør - a 40 min.'s drive from Copenhagen.
From Copenhagen: At the first roundabout after the motorway turn left on Støberivej and follow the road. Turn right at Fabriksvej and you'll have the museum on your right hand.
From Helsingør: Follow Kongevejen heading towards Copenhagen. At the first roundabout turn right on Klostermosevej and turn left on Fabriksvej at the following trafic light. After 400 meters you'll have the museum on your left hand.
By bus and train
At Helsingør Station please take bus 802 and ask the driver to stop outside "Teknisk Museum" at Fabriksvej. Plan your journey here
Most of the museums exhibitions are accessible by wheelchair. It is also possible to bring baby carriages or pushchairs with you into the museum.
Disability parking can be found by the museum entrance and an accessible toilet is located next to the museum café. Here you can also find wheelchairs you can borrow.
Ramps are avaliable where there are level differences in the museum. However, a small part of the exhibition area is only accessible via stairs, this includes a part of the rescue vehicle exibiton, the Ellehammer exibition and the large airliners.
Café and shop
Next to the museum entrance you'll find the museum's café and shop. Here you can buy food and beverages. During the high season (week 7, 26-32 and 42) there is an special menu. The kitchen is open from 11 am to 3 pm.
You cannot eat your own food inside the café, however, you may eat it at the benches outside.
In the shop you can buy souvenirs, toys and books which all have a connection to the world of science and technology.
We love dogs! But we also handle foods, therefore, dogs are not alowed indoors, but they are most welcome in the museum's outdoor fascilities. Remember to pick up after you dog. Guide dogs and service dogs are alowed indoors.
The great exhibition halls are not heated. So remember to bring warm clothes, especially during winter.
