The Ner-a-car motorcycle was produced in England and in the United States between 1921 and 1926. The idea of the Ner-a-car motorcycle was to design a motorcycle where the seating comfort was like that of a car. The Ner-a-car also had the advantage of reducing soiling from the engine and roadway, making it more attractive for ladies to ride a motorcycle, as their dresses were not soiled.
The motorcycle had a top speed of about 50 km per hour and was cheap to run, as it could travel 40 km on one liter. Nevertheless, it never achieved widespread popularity.

Motorcyklen Ner-a-car blev produceret i England og i USA i perioden 1921-1926. Idéen med Ner-a-car-motorcyklen var at designe en motorcykel, hvor siddekomforten mindede om den i en bil. Ner-a-car havde også den fordel, at den mindskede tilsvining fra motor og kørebane, og på den måde gøre det mere attraktivt for damer at køre på motorcykel, da deres kjoler ikke blev tilsmudsede.
Motorcyklen havde en topfart på ca. 50 km i timen og var billig i drift, idet den kunne køre 40 km på en liter. Alligevel fik den aldrig den store udbredelse.
